What is Expressive Arts Therapy (ExAT)?
甚麼是表達藝術治療?
Expressive arts therapy uses a variety of creative arts processes - visual art, music, drama, movement, and creative writing to facilitate body, mind and spirit connection that encourages personal growth and social connection.
表達藝術治療是融合視覺藝術、舞動、戲劇、音樂、寫作和其他的創意手法的治療模式,透過藝術參與及創作達至身、心、靈治療效果,深化個人成長和社區發展。
It is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on providing a safe space for service recipients to express emotions and thoughts. In individual or group therapy, one connects with his/her inner self through integrating different art processes and allowing them to flow into one another, in order to enrich self-understanding, to make the most of his/her inner resources, to understand problems from different angles, and to enhance self-awareness, creativity and self-healing ability.

【VOOA | 一趟】expressive arts therapists hold valid registration (professional membership) in ANZACATA (Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association). They must comply with the code of ethics of the association to maintain the highest standard of professionalism. All registered therapists under ANZACATA professional membership must undergo professional training and a minimum of 750 hours of supervised clinical placement.
